The little snout twitches — it smells treasure, SNIFF it slips through the grooves between the paving stones, the ventilation grates, the cornices. It looks down on the stone façades and the iron railings, those that cast arabesque shadows over discarded tables, overturned chairs, shattered windows. SNIFF, the loot is getting closer, it lunges toward the box, jumps from one little hole to the next, then throws itself into the big hole.

It swims through sauces, through banana peels and tobacco skins, feasting without realizing that the trap has already snapped shut, that it will never get out of all this plastic, and that it is already done for — trapped like a rat.
